Does anyone know of a link to download the latest update? When I go to the Uconnect site it still says I'm up to date with the 17.43.01. I had the message twice and it failed both times. Haven't seen the message again.

I have a 2017 Jeep GC Limited and I am going through the exact same issue. Download failed twice but I don't know know why. I took it my dealer and he was clueless too. On the good side everything seems to be working ok and nothing in the UConnect system is messed up. UConnect assist is no help either.

I don't understand why FCA won't make this update available on the driveuconnect.com website. That would solve a lot of problems. If this update is necessary, it would be negligent for them not to make it available.

It sure would be helpful.

I did get these two responses from a Uconnect Customer Care specialist recently.

Yes FCA will be mailing the thumb drive to you although I'm not sure if it will be regular mail or ups. So anyone who the update didn't take for will be receiving the the thumb drive. While it is true that the OTA didn't take for everyone there were some who have been able to successfully install the update and some who it went through after a few days. Unfortunately there wasn't anyway to foresee this current situation. As far as I know and as far as we are being told the thumb drive will come through the mail so you won't have to go to the dealer for an upgrade.
The information that I have been giving is it's believed that it will be around the middle of next month.

I got the update notice on my screen twice about a week ago. Nothing since then, and no update. The update didn't fail, it just never pushed to my vehicle. Will I get the usb in the mail, or do I need to contact FCA?

I received my notice about two weeks ago and haven't gotten anything yet either. I'm also wondering about this as i have never gotten an over the air update; in fact, this is the first time that I've ever received a notice that one is coming out. I have always had to update via USB.

I finally got the prompt to update on my Uconnect screen. I chose update now, and did what the screen instructed. When I came back to the vehicle the screen said "update failed-contact your dealer". I have an appointment next Wednesday. DriveUconnect.com still shows my software is up to date. FCA sure has issues keeping on top of their vehicle's equipment. I guess keeping things working after the sale is something they simmer on the back burner. Also, I ran across this info on another forum (they're not on the WK2 TSB site).

Go to the driveuconnect software update page and check your VIN again. My page changed overnight and now shows v18.45.01 as an available update, which I downloaded and installed successfully. I never received the OTA update prompt in my 2016 GC even after receiving an email 10/1 stating that my VIN required an update to address the 11/3 GPS issue. I contacted uConnect 4 times for help and was told I had to wait until it was broadcast to my vehicle, that they couldn't force my update and that the entire process was being controlled by FCA Corporate engineering. I spent 2hrs at my Jeep dealer on Monday and they couldn't help either, the dealers don't even know what is going on with these updates. Luckily I was able to update my Jeep, but with only 4 days remaining before my GPS would have stopped working, they are cutting it way too close. This entire process is a huge black eye for FCA/uConnect.

I clicked on the URL contained in the second notice, but it still says my 17.43.01 is up to date. I have not received any attempts to update over the air even though I received a message about three weeks ago that I would.

Thanks for the FYI. I have been waiting too...I wonder if the GPS issue on 11/3 came early to my vehicle and that is why I lost the off-road pages. No telling

You are right! I just checked mine too and it changed to 18.45. I'll try it out tonight. Thanks. Have you noticed any differences?

Another one here with corrupt or invalid zip file downloaded from the UConnect software update site. 2015 GC

This is unforgivable if not fixed promptly, considering Nov. 3rd is just 3 days away.

You need to use 7zip or winzip to unzip the file, Windows says it's invalid.

Yep, here's what I did to extract. Ensure 7zip is up to date -- latest is 19.00. Remove the stupid comma in the archive file name (who does this, WTF? kinda been a rule since last century).

Extract with 7zip or open as a .7z archive with 7zip and extract, (7zip opens it successfully as a .7z archive, because the archive is invalid as a .zip.)

Verify extracted file sizes are larger than zero and the swdl.upd file is about 1.4 GB or so.

I haven't tried to install this update on the Jeep, yet. In the morning for that fun.

PS. Avoid jZip, it'll give your PC cancer.
