Vermont is getting hammered nearly every single day with torrential rain, resulting in flash flooding. Today there were cars backed up for about a half-mile on a local road, and I pulled to the front of the line - which included a few big 4x4s such as Rams - to find an 18-inch-deep (and rising), 25-foot-wide river raging across the road, rushing brown water with mud and even some chunks of washed-out asphalt. I jacked my Airlift up as high as it would go and plowed, slowly but steadily, right through it. No problem.
Of note: I have a Volant CAI installed, and there have been concerns that water fording may compromise the filter as the box is open on the bottom, toward the wheel well. I can report that I had zero issues with that today.
I am psyched; it's instances like this that make me glad - and proud - to drive a Jeep.
