Ok, knowing generally not worth it due to simple economics and risk, but noticed Mopar has a lifetime warranty available. I keep my vehicles 10+ years. Now the list price was $4200! Wow. But in looking at other forums, one person got it for $2300.
My 02 GC cost me over $3000 this year to keep road worthy with two power window motor replacements, water pump, leaking oil pan and valve cover gaskets. For a long term owner, I can see the $2300 price making sense. There, pot stirred....

What vehicle is this for? The Grand Cherokee or the Cherokee? I found one online for my wife's grand for 2300 for lifetime max care, so those prices seem way too high for either vehicle.

I don't know which vehicle was being discussed. On the Mopar site, the Cherokee was not yet listed.

I was told that you can ask your insurance agency to apply extended coverage. I haven't done so yet but I was almost positive it would act in the same manner as the warranty, but for a fraction of the price (an extra ~10$/month.

Chrysler is the only one with lifetime plans that I know of.

When the Cherokees actually hit the dealers I am sure the extended warranty quotes will fly then but the pricing process will follow this pattern.

If you select Lifetime Maximum Care, 0 deductible on that other (unnamed) Jeep vehicle it will come up about $4k. If you select $100 it will price at about $2400. This depends some on age and mileage on the actual vehicle you are using.

If you keep a vehicle 10 years I'd get one with$100 deductible ... especially with all the electronic doodads that are on them.
