Have factory HID headlights on my 2010. Noticed first of last week one of them turning a pink color - figured the bulb was going bad. Then a few days later, the other one turned pink. Is it possible both of them are going out at the same time or is this a different issue?

Thanks everyone, it was the bulbs. Interesting that they both started going bad within a week of each other, but I guess they do both get the same amount of use.

What is disappointing is that I had a 2001 X5 before the Jeep and it still had the original HID bulbs in it at 213K miles - the Jeep's didn't make 90K!!

Speaking of this my factory HID went out as well. My passenger one started flashing whenever I hit bumps or randomly then just completely went out. Didn't have any color changing. Changed the bulb and all is fine again.

How hard is it to change the bulbs? Never had to change a HID bulb yet. I know the time will come and I won't have the dealership do it as they charge a arm and a leg to do it here in Ontario

I have a cold air intake so the passenger one is a piece of cake. The driver one took some swearing because it's so tight to plug in the connector.

I had to move battery and air box. Wasn't too bad but more than just popping a couple of bulbs in.
