I've just scanned my jeep and get following DTC with torque( key DTC report don't work)
P0670 and P1648

I can find P0670 is glow plug module

Is P1648-GLOW PLUG MODULE INTERNAL ??? or something else?

When I start it seems that glow plug are working ( i get the indication on display) it stat without difficulty , the only thing is a diesel smell in the first minutes

is the glow plug module really dead ??? is there a easy and cheap fix except buying the module from MB and not from JEEP?

Finally I 've trusted my instinct :D
I've removed the glow plug module ,and checked it ,

Unfortunately after opening it it's covered with some silicone and it's welded very thinly

So I's not fixable , as i understand this module gives the timing for the glow plugs and command each one separately .

P0670 is a glow plow module issue
P1648 is glow plug internal faillure ( code is reset after X cycles by ECU)

Hi .. can anyone tell me where I can find this module .. I have code P0670 and I guess I will have to replace it ... but would like to know where to look for it. 2008 Grand Cherokee 3.0 Diesel.

I reset erased the code(s) (2 of the same) and it has stayed out for a few days now... I'm wondering if it maybe something else?

Anybody had a similar situation.

Could it be the glow plugs but not showing on the code?

Thank you for your input :)

Great site ..
