Isn't the Opti-Coat supposed to last a lifetime?Agree! I lather my ride with the stuff twice a year.keeps the paint looking like new.
There are 2 versions of it now. I don't think the 2.0 last forever. The original version was only available to pros but now you can buy 2.0 on various online retailers. If I'm not mistaken.Isn't the Opti-Coat supposed to last a lifetime?

Well, I guess I was mistaken. Thanks for clearing it up Summit!I took a look on their website. "Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0 is a permanent coating that protects automotive paint over its lifetime......."
Amazon has it for around $70 like you said. I figured 400 was a pretty good deal for the application due to all of the prep work involved (wash, clay, polish). They also put a coat on the window and wheels. Supposedly $400 is the minimum opticoat will let dealers charge. If I remember, it's about $70 or so, and I would recommend watching several youtube videos on the application. It's not rocket science, but you don't want to leave "high" spots on the paint.
I'd say $400 was a good deal!
