From 2011-13 to 2014 Overland

For those that upgraded their 2011-13 to a 2014, was it worth it, is the difference noticeable when driving and what else is good or bad about upgrading from my 2013 to a 2014, other than the cost.

I'm going back and forth on if I should upgrade and want to see what those who made the change think.

Thanks in advance

Will you be changing the engine at all? I traded in my 12 for a 14, but it was mostly because I wanted to upgrade to the hemi, so of course the ride in my 14 is a big difference. I'm about 99% happy with the trade and that's mostly because I still like the older grill just a little bit more. But I absolutely love the new interior, and that's where I spend all my time. I feel like I'm in a much more upscale vehicle. There are def some uconnect sw issues to be fixed, but I hope those will be fixed with time. I've found the 8 sp transmission to make for a very smooth ride as well. Overall very happy with the new jeep.

I'm sticking with the V6. I agree that the grill is nicer on mine and I don't like that they removed the cd and flipper glass, but those are things I really can live without.

Hows the new gear shifter? i really didn't like how it wasn't simple like mine.
You can still get the cd player as a $150 option. I didn't ask for it, but the limited that was available had that option - and it takes up half of the center storage bin between the driver/passenger seats.

And the gear shifter definitely takes some getting used to. I've had my 14 for 4 weeks now, and i still always look at the dash to ensure that i'm in the proper gear before i do anything. I could also see it being a bit of a hassle if you have to make a quick 3-point turn in the middle of traffic or something where you have to go back between drive/reverse. Also, I always keep my right hand on the shifter when i drive, and noticed that i'll occasionally throw the shifter back into sport mode from the momentum if i hit the gas too hard.
