Washed car this morning and my sponge caught on the caliper and took a small piece of red paint off, my guess is it was cracked from factory when they installed the rim. Can anyone suggest the best way to fix this up, what type of paint etc.......Thanks

Looks like you were getting in quite deep! Didn't consider that I'd be washing brake calipers.. but I can see why. You don't want them looking all dirty.

Maybe a touch-up pen? I believe you can get them with clear also to coat it some more. Again, no expert though. Good luck!

Thanks for your suggestion mate!. No point in having nice shiny rims if you have dirty red calipers, besides they are huge and easily accessed. Wait until you get yours, (not long now),then you'll see how dirty they can get!

Back in my RX-7 FD3S days, all the forum guys would use Testors red enamel paint. Held up well to the heat, cheap, easy to reapply. Might be better solutions nowadays but that's where I would start.

I just remembered Duplicolor makes a decent Red Caliper paint as well. Do your research and factor your price point and go from there.
