New member to the Jeep community with a couple of weeks ownership of my Overland (5.7).

Love the drive and features particularly compared to my older Landcruiser. This forum has been a wonderful treasure trove of information.

However, have an issue maybe someone has had a similar experience in their GC. When decelerating, for instance, foot off the gas pedal as you approach a corner, I get a series of knocking sounds that appear to be coming from the right front end.

Things to come mind, CV joints, ABS module pulsating the brakes, loose brackets? Any idea anyone?

Performed more testing of different driving scenarios, only time I could detect it was at the beginning of the my test drive. I read on this forum that the ESC can perform a calibration activity that can make a clicking sound. Maybe I'm interpreting the "knock" sound as the normal "click" sound as per calibration process. Although this has occurred to me previously about 40 minutes into my drive, which is different to what's been described that it only occurs at the beginning of the drive. Possibly the calibration process can occur at any time?

I'll ask the service guys this week for their opinion.

Got it confirmed today, the service guy described that ESC calibration has distinct 3 to 4 quick successive "knocking" or "clicking" sounds and that's exactly what I've been hearing.

It's effectively the ABS module doing it's thing as part of the process.

So far, early days of ownership (~3000 klms) and all good!
