I have a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 3.7 FWD.
I have been getting terrible fuel mileage, especially in town. on a good tank of gas I may get 12-14 miles to a gallon town driving.
I hate to admit that I have been neglecting this issue, I thought that it was were the four wheel drive was basicly on demand cause you dont have to put it into 4-wheel drive, thought this was causing it to eat more gas.
I was speaking to a work buddy yesterday and he said I had something definitely wrong that I should be getting better fuel mileage than that thru town.
I have been putting fuel treatment at every oil change and was going to change the fuel filter but the guy at auto parts store said that all this jeep had was a little screen filter in the fuel tank. I havent changed the spark plugs yet cause all I have is approx: 52,000 miles on this jeep.
Does anyone have any advise at all what could be causing the poor fuel mileage?
Thanks alot
