New 2014 Limited Lux group 2 just arrived at the dealer today. We are flying out tomorrow morning to pick it up and begin our road trip back home.

The sales person at the dealership was kind enough to snap a quick photo once it rolled off the car hauler. Looks great, but there is some window trim that has me sorely confused.

Every 2014 we have seen to date has a small chrome strip around the window frames, however the photo we received looks like their is some kind of chrome accents going down the entire pillar.

After looking around on auto trader I've noticed a very small percentage of the vehicles seem to have this overly flashy window trim.

I'm hoping it's just some type of wrap or protective cover that the dealer hasn't yet removed.

Just seeing if anyone can clarify on this. I uploaded a photo from auto trader for reference.

Options are 4x4 v6 limited with Lux 2, trailer pkg, and 20" rims.

It's funny. They cover the B pillars but they should also put the same tape along the drivers door sill area and the moulding under the door. It seems alot of vehicles get delivered with scratches and scuffs from the truck drivers big feet when they are loading and unloading the vehicle off their trucks.

Yes, I agree, I had scuff marks in both places, door sil and lower panel before taking delivery, all would not buff out. I bought the mopar sill guards to cover this area.

Off topic but I LOVE the wheels, color choice too! Very nice.

Thanks! I'm super happy with the color. The color name is actually a little misleading IMHO. It's definitely more of a gray than silver but I prefer that since it's much more forgiving with dirt and scratches.

Here's a question related to the window trim. Has anyone else that wears a metal wrist watch noticed how badly it scratches the trim? This summer I had my arm out the window a lot and my watch seems to have really scratched and dulled the finish on the trim.

Blah. All the "Wide" Spoke ones look dated to me.

I prefer the wheels in the first picture.

I know the fake chrome plastic trim around the windows is made of a very easily scratched/marked plastic. My Summit came delivered with quite a few scratches on the fake chrome mouldings. I didn't even bother to mention it at delivery since they would no doubt cause more harm then good trying to change the damaged mouldings.

The chrome around the windows is stainless steel. It does scratch easily.
