As for programming your home address into the navigation system, don't most states require you to keep a copy of your registration (which includes your address) in the vehicle?

Many states require it and even when we carry a registration in our wallets, we often choose to or are required to leave other things within the vehicle that contain personal identification information...insurance coverage cards, copies of things the dealer included in the manual packet, etc. Savvy thieves can sometimes even run the license plate via "connections" they might have.

I always carry the registration and insurance info with me. Nothing in the vehicle has my address on it. I even set the home setting in the nav system for a couple blocks away. That way if a thief steals the vehicle and they are smart enough (not likely) to seek out the go home setting in the nav system, and if they try using the homelink buttons, my garage door won't open since they would be at least 2 blocks away.

This all seems like commonsense to me. And yet some guy got paid to do this write up, but I guess some people wouldn't think these things up. So I thank you Music for posting this for those that don't.

But they left out:

6. What kind of music you like.
