I have the run flat pirellis and it dawned on me why not get rid of some weight and take the spare and jack out. Anyone else done this? If you can drive up to 50 miles on the run flat whats the point of the spare???

If you never leave the city or you want to call a tow truck you will be OK. Lots of places out there that are more than 50 mi from help/services.

Soon as I bought it the jack and tire were removed. Extra storage too

I was thinking the same exact thing, maybe I'll take them out and just put them back in when we are on a long road trip. It does seem like a lot of extra weight to carry around for day to day driving...

I bought it for peace of mind...regardless of my run flats. The weight of it does not slow this BEAST down a fraction of a second.

I'm always somewhere where even my cell phone can't find anyone............:thumbsup:
