I'm looking at SRT replica wheels on OE Wheels and have always thought I wanted black chrome. But in the pictures it just doesn't look like I thought, I thought it would look more like the gloss black ones. I'm wondering if anyone has seen the two in person and what their thoughts and impressions are of them to help me choose. Or if people have pictures of theirs if they could post up for comparisons of either color. Also do I need to get Acorn lugs for the replicas or do the OE lugs work? Thanks for any help guys!!

I think the black chrome looks excellent, but really depends on what car you are putting them on. I don't see that in your info or post. If it's a High Altitude you could swing either finish black chrome or gloss black. If you have a Overland or a Summit then I think black chrome would clash with all the bright chrome.
Black chrome is also an OEM available finish on the SRT spider monkey and Goliath wheels and look awesome!!

Here is OEM black chrome SRT Goliath wheels. If the black chrome finish is a little different compared to aftermarket I don't know, but I think they look amazing!

Hey 2014 LAREDO, what brand wheels are those and how does the quality of the finish and wheel itself seem? Looks great in the pics!

Kinda disagree with the ghetto observation, don't think it's a fad, black rims have been around along time, personally it depends on your color Jeep and what's pleasing to your "eye".JTS and another guy both have goliath(I believe, looked at a lot of threads so could be wrong) the one has a white JGC and the black looks ridiculously good on it,and another guy has the same on his black Jeep but went with the chrome/silver finish and that looks equally as awesome.Just depends on your taste as to what you want YOUR particular Jeep to look like.Your truck, your personal stamp on it.Another guy has these on his black JGC but he went whole hog and de chromed everything put on a real unique hood(not an SRT but something else, looks like a hemi hood but with side vents in it too) some like it,some don't,me,I think all the rigs look cool and it's all down to personal taste. Me,I like the silver or chrome finish rims,I think they look great on my Green JGC.BUT,on my met red '90 Wrangler,I have black rims(I swap between them and a polished aluminum set, both on 35's) every couple of years and have done since 1990.Again,just down to your personal taste.Ask a dozen people, will get at least 6 answers. In ANY event, enjoy whatever you choose.
I got a great deal on a set of SRT wheels and tires (Pirelli scorpions boots) got great feedback from owners, knew thru them I didn't need to do any upgrades but also advised me stopping distance would be further and they are heavy,as noted by someone on my thread and I certainly notice it,so,just be advised on those notes too before dropping $$$$$ on upgrades.

You didn't say which style replicas you are after but I just picked up the Spider Monkey Replicas in Black Chrome and think they look great. To me they blend nicely with the Tri color chrome on the HA. Had the tires swapped over at a tire shop and all the guys preferred them over the all black rims. They have a wicked shine in the sun. Pictures really don't do them justice.

I think the black chrome srt reps with look great. Better than those other black chromes posted (no offense). I have the black gloss but just plasti dipped a friends car matte black with metalizer, it looks like black chrome and deffinetly looks better with the metalizer than it did matte black.

Your call but I say black chrome will look as good if not better.

Also, Love my rims but if you want the best off road performance I found the perfect rims on ebay for $75 each. 17 x 7 black steel with 40mm offset. you could buy 275/70/17 st max tires on there and you'd be on your way to get the best possible off road performance. Do you have QL? Do you want to off road a lot?

Techno that was an excellent pickup of rims. They look chrome...where did you get those and did the TPMS come with them?
I got these from GetYourWheels.com. There is a guy there Jason Tung, who've I've ordered other items from as well. These are made by Topline Replica's

Replica

There are a few of these on eBay as well as, believe it our not on Amazon. However I went with GetYourWheels.com due to other recommendations from folks. I just swapped over the existing wheels and TPMS so I did not buy new sensors. However if needed, I am sure that you can get compatible ones from GetYourWheels as well.
