Need to find some mud puddles, and I heard winter is coming.
This is my first "A/T" tire ever. They ride a little different than the stockers, not bad at all, just something a little different in the steering. Can't wait to throw some snow with these steamrollers.

You are correct, these are the new Silent Armor replacements. The guy at Tire Barn said they are just as capable as the SA's and will be just slightly quieter on the road. He put them on his wife's suv right when they came out. I know the guy and trust his opinion. Plus, they are rated for 60K miles, opposed to the 50K SA's.
These are not Snokflake rated, but I'm confident they will suit my needs and be way better than the stockers.
The specific part number is 758076571 if anyone is interested.

Very nice choice. I've had 2 sets of Silent Armors, and loved them. I'm sure they only improved upon that design. Rubber bands would have been better than the stockers. :) At first, I thought the OE Latitudes would be OK (they are rated well, and get OK reviews elsewhere). I soon learned they were some of the worst OE tires I've had. I replaced mine with Cooper A/T3s about a month ago. I'm very happy with them.

I take the Latitudes over any tire Goodyear or Cooper make on pavement and going down unpaved roads. Latitude is not a AT tire. Had a set of Wranglers on my 06 Element and winter tires gave better dry and wet road performance than the Wranglers.

Goodyear also has some of the worst quality control in the industry

I must have gotten lucky then. The OE Latitudes are garbage. Tread wear indicators were almost level with the tread at 28,500 miles. On all 4 tires. I should have taken a picture of them.

I've only been up to 60mph so far, can't tell a difference in road noise from the Latitudes. Road trip home for Turkey day Thursday, I'll report back afterwards.

Funny, we have had Goodyear tires on my wife's Toyota RAV V6 FWD for a year now and no problems at all.

In fact they replaced Yokohama tires that my wife thought were really good and these are even better. Better snow traction and better wet/try traction. I can attest to less torque steer than with the Yoko tires.

I'm only at 18k, but these AT Adventure tires are at the top of my list when it comes time to replace.

Road trip update. Put about 250 miles on the new tires. They are a little louder than the OE Lats on normal pavement, but they seem to be quite a bit louder on bad pavement. Like the grated concrete sections where road bumps were milled off or on bridges. Just turned the radio up a few clicks, It's not a deal killer for me, but sensitive ears beware. Otherwise they were great. They rode very nice, were't too "slappy" on repaired highway lines (those perpendicular tar lines sprayed over cracks), and handled well. These tires are just a little "darty" in the steering, that's they only way I can describe it. A little tug on the steering wheel and the Jeep moves more than it used to. It's not bad by any means, just different. In fact it might just be that the OE tires were a little sloppy in the steering.
Anyway, I like them.
Supposed to get some snow at the end of the week. Looking forward to it.

Hey Dave,
I just put a set on my 2014 Grand Cherokee and all your observations are right on the money! They are great in the snow and the handling is much better. Much greater steering response. I think that's what you were describing. The noise factor is also as you stated. Not a great increase overall, but seemingly more sensitivity to road surfaces than I remember with my old tires. I did notice more firmness in the ride. Probably more robust sidewalls, hence the better steering response. I don't drive very aggressively and I wanted to minimize the harshness so I put them right at recommended 33 lbs pressure. I only have a couple of hundred miles on them and I was wondering if they will kind of break in and maybe soften the ride a little. How are yours. Thanks for the posting and any input
Steve
