I'd like to get more acceleration off the line. I feel like the Diablo tune has helped the acceleration in the higher gears, but I feel like it's still missing in 1st and 2nd gear. What kind of mods can I do, or custom settings can I set on the Diablo to make this better?

X2 gears would make the biggest, noticeable difference dollar for dollar.

well it's pretty universal unless the 4.7 uses a different rear axle than the other motors. So you should be able to find some gears for this aplication based on these cars aftermarket.

They make gears for them.

Its got 3:73s now, if you put a set of 4:10s in it and get good quality Yukon or Superior gears you will have life time warranties on the gears as long as they are professionally installed. But your looking at $500 an axle base price for most shops to do the install and about $250 for gears and install kits.

with 4:10s you would roast them off the line with near stock size tires.

well I don't know but I'm pretty sure the aftermarket doesn't make different gearing for a ford explorer or escape.

In english, it should make finding gears easier.

I think it's a factory option so you might be able to get some through mopar.

The engine means nothing when it comes to gears.

You just need to call up a place that sells gears for ex, summit racing.com, and tell them what you have and what you want. They will set you up right.

The only thing that matters when you buy gears is the axle. I am not sure what the front is called but the rear is a chry 8.25 axle (but its different from the 8.25 in a regular cherokee.

Yes you need to change front and rear, they cannot be different from eachother.

Just go to (ouch this hurts to say) Jeepsunlimited and ask in the WK section where to get 4:10 gears for a WK. There are more off roaders on there that can help.

I think with the 410 gears your car won't roll as much on it's own.
