How do you know invoice price?

Guys, how do you know what the invoice price is on a V6 Limited? From previous experience it's like pulling teeth to get this info from the dealer. I was thinking what I should offer for something like this: http://globaljeep.com/new/index.cfm/action/view_2014_jeep_grand_cherokee/vehicle/1C4RJFBG6EC118917/

Check out the 1st post of the Ordering Thread. It has all the information you need.
You made your way here to create a new thread and completely missed the threads at the top of the page that contains this information.....

If a dealer won't give you a copy of the invoice, find a new dealer.

.
at a glance it seems the difference between MSRP and Invoice is approximately 10%.

^ Pretty much all of this!

This site has plenty of info but you can also check out edmunds and truecar.

I would say closer to 5%.

MSRP on an overland $45,995, invoice about $2250 less, $43,736.

I was also looking at the "option" packages, they seem to be 10% difference.

In the case of a vehicle charge, I am not clear if the difference between invoice and MSRP includes the "Destination Charge".

So as an example, is the Overland Invoice $43,736 or is it really $43,736 - Destination Charge? In other words, does the definition of "Invoice" include the Destination Charge or exclude the Destination Charge? This could be an important factor when discussing "Invoice" with a dealer, make sure you both use the same definition. :)
You have to add the destination charge to both.

Overland 4X4 - $45,995 ($43,736) + $995 destination

So Invoice $43,736 + $995, MSRP $45,995 + $995

It depends where you look. Some lists include it and some list it as a separate item. It is $995, so just be sure it is either included (or not) in both the msrp and invoice price you are looking at. The difference won't change.

EDIT - or what Sno said
What about the 7.5 gallons of gas? My dealer gave me a copy of the invoice and they had $27 charge on there for gas.
on the weekend, I got access to the chrysler employee portal to basically "build" a vehicle to suit.

I played around and there was no option for "Fill up the gas tank". lol

When I compared the employee price to local dealer MSRP, it was about 10% difference, including "Destination Charge".
I found that on this website if you put in the vehicle VIN, it will tell you the MSRP and Dealer Invoice. I do not know how accurate it is, perhaps some people can test it and see if it matches what the dealer told them...

I was actually trying to see if I could get a Limited with Luxury II, trailer hitch, nav, etc., and 20 wheels for under 40K (v6, QT1). My credit union would negotiate for me but I have to get an estimate on my trade in first. It's a Laredo which still owes $25K. Even with all the upgrades I did, mostly Katzkin leather, I'm never going to get that. I'll probably call this off for now. Thanks for the help anyway.
You want all that for $40K before TTL and fees or is that $40k OTD. If OTD, then that dealer really doesn't want to make any money
OMG stay away from GLOBAL JEEP! I spent 3 hours there listening to pitches from both salesman and sales managers who had no idea what a money factor was. They are the worst dealer in the area! They try to hit a homerun with every customer and they are completely clueless. I told them the deal I was getting elsewhere and they said it was impossible, then the idiot salesman called me to tell me if we extended the loan he can lower my monthly payments... true story.

Go to Team Welsh Chrysler in Far Hills, ask for Brian. He will happily show you his screen with the invoices as you are building your Jeep.
