I want to remove the bezels around the air ducts at the ends of the dash in my 2013 Trailhawk and try plastidipping them to remove the glare and reflection in the side mirrors. I can't seem to get them to release.

Has anyone removed these? Is the a trick as to where the retaining clips are? The trim removal guide didn't seem to have a section on these pieces.

After re-reading this section as suggested above, I found the note: "The air outlet trim panels are serviced with the air outlets as an assembly" That's apparently why I couldn't separate them.

Probably more disassembly than I want to deal with.

They are attached to the dash trim and are are held in by the belt line trim. Once the trim is removed the chrome trim and adjustable part come out with the trim. Basically you have to remove the large passenger side dash trim and the small piece left of the steering wheel. It will probably take 30min to remove. I recently removed all of my overland trim.

They are actually attached to the trim pieces with two screws so remove (when pulling)the trim and vent trim all at once.
