Well, I had my first really annoying problem today. On a road trip about 125 miles from home on the interstate, with temps in lower 30s, the heater quit blowing. Didn't matter which vents I set it to, or what temp I set it at, or whether manual or auto. I did the radio reset, hoping that would help, nothing. Warm air was oozing out of whatever vent I selected, but no blower motor, no matter what speed I set it to. It was starting to get a little chilly, but had the seat heaters and steering wheel heater on, so not too bad yet. I was starting to get a little window fogging, so that had me a little worried. Luckily we came to a rest stop before things got bad. I pulled in and shut it down and opened the door to let everything shut down, and waited a few minutes. When I restarted the engine everything was working properly again. I switched back and forth between all the settings, and changed the temp and blower speeds. All good. Made it home with no further incident, and went out again this evening, with no problem. I'm sure service won't find anything, so I'll wait to take it in for planned service. I'll tell them so they can check for a code. Wondering if anything like this has happened to anyone else here?

One time in the middle of the summer. It was a hot day and no blower. Like you I tried all the settings to no avail. But, the next day and ever since it has been good. I never mentioned it to the dealer.

I had this happen this summer ... middle of July on I-75 in Georgia and it was a hot day. Like you, it eventually did come back. Dealer did find an issue and had to replace something in the blower system... I can't remember what exactly.

Not too much fun huh?

This sounds exactly like what happened to my 2011. It happened a few times and then went away, finally it happened and did not go away. They replaced the HVAC control panel and all is well...so far...

I have to say that getting the MaxCare Lifetime service contract seems like a great idea if you're keeping your Jeep for a while. :D

Last Saturday, January 19, 2019 [on the first coldest day of the new year] the heat in my 2005 JGC Limited was set to 75 and full blast and then all of a sudden it all stopped working. No fan , no heat, not anything...all I could think was :wtf:

After I returned home, I started to calculate what it would cost me to "swap out" the Heater Blower Motor and Resistor with Genuine Mopar OEM parts and then figured I would have to find someone to lend me their warm garage.

I already have 3 [2 Driver-Side, 1 Passenger-Side] Mopar OEM Actuator Units waiting for warm weather so that I can replace them...so now this come along that can't wait.

Today, I go out to start the vehicle and everything is back to normal and is working...

Who'd a thunk...

Exact same issue occurred to me last week. I thought I was losing my mind. I'm half way home from work and stopped at a traffic light when I noticed it was getting cold(er) in the Jeep. The fan was on 1 so I moved the speed to 2. Nothing. Moved it to 3. Still nothing. I spun the knob all the way to the right (8). Still nothing. Auto. Manual. Off. On. Nothing.

Temp was going to drop into the teens overnight and I was not looking forward to the ride into work the following day. I can deal with cold, but not being able to defrost / defog the windshield was going to be a problem.

By some miracle the fan came back to life the following morning.

Guess the only thing I can do is keep an eye on it and hope if fails while the warranty is in effect.
