So I placed my pre-order since it hasn't been released yet. Just in case anyone else is considering they do NOT have a blendmount attachment for this radar in development yet which for me may end up being a deal breaker. I spoke with the people at escort and they said nothing is in the works but that could change. Also, for anyone who is preordering, ship date will be mid-late July.


I do have a question for the forum though. I have my windshield tinted. I believe its 3M non-ceramic film (complete guess). Due to the fact the entire windshield is tinted, will this interfere with my radar? I asked the people at Escort and they said it could definitly have an affect on range.

I also pre-ordered the passport max. The lack of blend mount was disappointing but not a deal breaker. You can still hardware it and add it to the windshield to blend pretty well. At least that's what I'm hoping.

Yeah I'm wondering how though. I don't really want to stick it to my windshield with the suction cups since my windshield is tinted.

I was told by the rep on Monday they will not be shipping until August. I suspect they are having software issues so I cancelled my order. I'm going to let the first batch hit the market so they can work out the glitches.

I too had a tinted windshield on my chevy tahoe and 2500 silverado and both were not affected by the radar detectors. Those suction cups wont be able to pull that tint off the glass.

I noticed in your sig that you have a rear reso delete. Did you lose low end power and flow at all? How does it sound?
