Hi all

I'm getting a ticking noise when sat in the driver seat.

The noise can be heard when idle and it decides to stop ticking every now and then for about 30 seconds before coming back on.

I have no idea what it is and have had a garage tell me it sounds like the exhaust (doesn't to me)

I've attached a video here. The tick can be heard at the start and as I put my foot on the gas slightly and let go....the ticking comes back on again at around 8 seconds in.

Any ideas anyone?

I can't see your video but if it sounds like an air pump type noise is could be a broken EVAP pipe. Mine was broke right where it was heat fit. The line that has the diagnostic port on the drivers side of the engine, under the a/c lines. Hope this helps.

Managed to resolve it.

Turned out to be the purge valve that was ticking quite loudly every now and then. It's been replaced and now the ticking is gone!
