I prefer JL
My vote would be JL W3V3 300rms is the sweet spot for the W3V3

I personally run 650 watts RMS to 2 10” W3V2s and they sound great.
My experience with JL is to stay within the “optimum range”
Unless your listening to old man rock and wind instruments… I wouldn’t put the maximum 500 rms to these..

Hey 4litrebeater..? Did you connect that Lc2i before or after the factory amp? On your wk2 running those jl’s? And did you need extra “resistance” back to factory?

The lc2i I’m using in my ram 1500 with the alpine audio system.
i Hooked it up after the amp, I’m running the OEM subwoofer wires right into the LC2i.
Depends what your goals are. If you just want to upgrade the subwoofer I can recommend the LC2i
If you want to upgrade the whole system I recommend the PAC module that goes in before the factory amp.
I assume the LC2i would work exactly the same in the WK2.
no resistance needed just plug and play

That’s what I thought… just wanted to make sure, Thank you for the confirmation.
I’m torn between just upgrading the sub or going all out with the PAC + DSP. Cost is a factor for me currently so I guess I’ll just add the sub and eventually get to the rest.
Between the Lc2iPro and whatever amp or the Kicker 500.1 is where I’m still at and hesitant to pull the trigger simply because I can’t find a single thread with someone who has successfully done this in a 2020 WK2 with factory Alpine.

I wouldn’t hesitate to do it on a Jeep.
only reason I haven’t. Nobody makes a box for my grand Cherokee L yet. I use the cargo are to much to put a generic box back there.
I don’t believe the Jeep utilizes anymore voodoo than the ram alpine system. All the same corporate crap.
call crutchfeild.
those guys are usually quite knowledgeable and sell WK2 stealth boxes, they would know 100% what’s needed.

I hear ya. I don’t daily use my cargo space but when I do… an external box is a slight inconvenience. Also an external box is an invitation for kids/criminals that frequent my beachside area. I’d certainly prefer a stealth application but I don’t a g to drop on the $400 sub enclosure. I’m pretty handy. Gonna build my own. Sounds like you may need to build your own too? Or hire someone to custom that shit and be the new supplier? Maybe?…whatever… I don’t know what you do.
