For those of you looking to swap the sub out ( keep the stealthbox ) for something better. The internal volume is .625 cu/ft. That gives you allot options if you're interested in upgrading the subwoofer. Here is a few to list

Here is a decent list of inexpensive subs that will outperform the JL -
TC Sounds Epic 10
Dayton Audio Ultimax
Dayton Audio RSS line, both the HF and HO series
HiVi SP10
Peerless XXLS 10
ScanSpeak Discovery 10
SEAS L26ROY 10

Those all fall within the sub specs for the box size. You may have to experiment with acoustic fill or maybe take up some space with some MDF. Either way, it gives you guys options if you get tired of the JL sub. I wouldn't be afraid to throw any of them in that stealthbox. That HiVi SP10 would rock your world in terms of output. I think the CDT Audio QES would perform well.

Just thought I would throw some options out there for you guys....in case you get tired of the JL sub and looking for something else. All those listed are proven winners. People have ran them in al kind of box size depending on what you're looking for.

I think you can fit a W6 in there, which is a very good SQ sub...the only one I've considered from JL as a great all around sub. Not familiar with the new Version 3, but Version 2 is an awesome sub!! I believe the W6v2 is designed for the .625 space.

TC Sounds use to build subs for some of the big names out there...not sure if they still do. Great overbuilt subs with even better distortion levels compared to others. Its a amazing seeing people spending on a name...when there is so much better that is less expensive. I guess that's why some are DIY raw driver people and some are not.

Sealing and stiffening the enclosure will help. The CDT is more pronounced then the factory. ..I can testify that. Not mind blowing...but it digs deeper. I played Sorrow from the Pink Floyd "The Pulse", it digs allot deeper then before. I can actually feel it vs. hearing it.

JL has one of the best R&D department in the business. For most people JL is fine, but for some of us it comes down to allot of other factors. There far better subs, amps, speakers...etc than JL for half the price. JL is great at marketing. Manville Smith frequents the forum at DIY, a great guy with allot of knowlege that will be straight up with you. I took apart the Stealthbox yester to find it suffed with poly fill, which isn't bad....but interesting. The enclosure is not very strong and won't hold a heavy sub. I plan t I reinforce it with MdF and a ton more resin. Nothing with JL....people tend to buy due to the name not realizing there are so many other options. But hey the TOP SQ vehicle at one time had all JL HD 750/1 running the entire system. He had one amp on each channel.. headroom is a very good thing.
