I pulled out the junction block on my 2008 Grand Cherokee CRD
& these are the realys that were in it. Accordingly to the manual 2 are missing. I have issues which I posted with the U0199 lost communication with drivers door module. The 2 relays missing are for these Drivers door module errors that aren't working. But everything was working with these relays out before I got the eroor code. How can that be with missing relays?

I think I answered my own question. Looking at the diagram for the junction block with the options I have it had only 4 relays. That's what I have. I took the plastic block apart to see if any corrosion was inside. Nope nice & clean. Put it back together check the operation of the relays all good. Took all the fuses out & checked them all good. Tomorrow I am going to take the ECU out & check the connections on it. Something is causing this. All the dead circuits come from this Junction block.

Took the ECU out under the battery & as with the last 3 2008s I have had it was rusty to say the least. One connector broke one cam undone. no rusted pins in either connector. I put the Junction block back in & thats not for the faint hearted. All back together & still lost communication with drivers module. I have a buddy coming over tomorrow with a better canbus meter so maybe he can find the problem. If not its a good parts jeep:)
