Just drove a 2014 overland - Few questions for owners

Just drove an 2014 overland. Other than the buzzing noise out of the front driver door between 35-40 miles an hour I was impressed.

Since I knew more about the car than the dealer, I had a couple questions that they couldn't answer and I couldn't figure out.

1. When you turn off the vehicle is it possible to have the interior lights come on? In vehicles w/o push button starts the lights usually come on when you pull the key out of the ignition. I expected the lights to come on when I hit the Start/Stop button.

2. Can you access the "favorites" on the navigation system while driving via the touch screen? I forgot to check while I was driving.

3. If the auto lock function is on, it appeared that I could simply pull the driver's door handle to unlock the driver's door. My daughter in the back couldn't open the door until I unlocked it from my door. Is it possible to open the rear doors without the driver hitting the unlock button?

4. How do you turn sport mode on? Didn't it used to be on the terrain select knob?

i'll answer what i can without going outside.

3. there is an option in the nav menu to unlock the drivers door or all 4 doors with a push of the fob unlock or touching the door handle. You dont have to pull it...just touch the inside. is this what you're asking?

4. pull down the shifter when in drive. pull down the shifter again to get it back to drive. no need to push the button

Thanks for the reply. For #3 I was actually asking about when you are inside the vehicle. When you drive off, the car auto locks. When you turn off the car, and pull the driver's door handle the door opens. What about the passengers in the rear? Do they need to manually unlock their door, or does the driver have to do it?
If the Jeep is stopped, in park, and the rear passengers can't open the doors from the inside, the child locks are engaged. Open each rear door from the outside, in the door jam there is a lever, flip it whichever way it lets you. voila!
Just about all that stuff is programable in the evic.
If you go to Jeep.com you can download all the owner and user manuals for free. they are in pdf format which makes it easy to search for specific information.

I'll check into the child locks. What was wierd is she was able to open it once I hit the unlock button on the driver's door. Usually child locks keep you from opening the door at all from the inside.

Let me state the question another way, how does somebody in the rear unlock their door? I didn't see an unlock button on the rear doors.
Check the setup of the locks...I believe there may be two options; one unlocks just the driver's door when you open the driver's door and one unlocks all the doors when you open the driver's door. If I recall, that's the way it is in my MY12. Also, the locks knobs on the rear doors are not easy to pull up by the passenger, should they need to manually unlock their own door. That's both good and bad...

From the downloadable owner's manual.

To unlock the rear doors, pull the door lock knob on the door trim panel upward.

In the driver's side door, in front of the lock/unlock buttons and just behind the rear window buttons, there's a bar shaped button that can be pushed down or released up. It's labeled with a white x.

edit: nevermind, that might be for rear passengers being able to control the rear windows.

Ok. That is simple enough. My daughter had tried pulling up on it, but apparently she needed to pull harder.
