I am thinking about getting rid of the factory Uconnect 730n RER that came in my 2011 wk2 Overland. I am not exactly unhappy with it but the fact that I cant stream music or pandora via bluetooth with my iPhone4 drives me crazy. Does anyone know if it is at all possible to stream music with this system? I know that there is an update for my system but for some reason the link on Uconnects web page keeps telling me that I enter an incorrect zip code when I enter my address to have the update disc sent to me, not to mention its a 6-8 week lead time on that disc. Is there another way that I can update the system? Why is Uconnect SOOO far behind on software updates for iPhones??? Is there another phone that pairs better than the Iphone 4, I have been thinking about getting another phone soon if one will work better it might sway me toward that phone. On the other side of things if I do end up going aftermarket will I still have complete control of the steering wheel functions, DVD player for back seats, answer phone calls with steering wheel button, reverse camera. I am aware that there are some adapters to make these things work with factory installed options but will they ALL work?

uConnect sometimes requires a phone call to correct user information.

But, if you would rather buy a new radio than wait 6 - 8 weeks for an update, you really want the new radio. So, go get it. You only live once.

I have already contacted Uconnect and updated my info on their end, they tell me that they cant send me the update disc I have to sign up for it online which is where I run into the zip code problem.

Its not so much that I want that new radio THAT bad its that Im not even sure if the update will allow me to stream music from my phone via bluetooth. Ive been told by my salesman at the dealer (after I bought the damn thing) that this radio does not stream music via bluetooth but told by Uconnect that it does, Ive also read stuff online supporting both sides. I dont know what to believe and isnce I cant do the date there is no way for me to find out. Id love to keep the factory system just for simplicity reasons but no bluetooth is def a deal braker! I am scheduled to have a JL amp and sub installed on tuesday so Im trying to figure this problem out before then as if I do decide to go aftermarket it will change the way the amp gets installed.
