Is it possible to remove the wood trim and replace it with the polished style? My wife doesn't like the wood in her Limited.

I've already got a replacement brushed aluminum OEM radio bezel and the heated seat area from an '04 with the cubby hole that is black.

If not, is there any place that sells overlays to cover it?

You cannot just replace them unless you change all 4 door cards and tear the dash apart to get the one piece over the airbag considering its bolted from the back. You can wrap it with carbon fiber wrap which is getting popular and iv done it. Also ebay sells overlay kits i believe.

I used the same material. Very pliable and easy to work with if you have experience wrapping. Never thought about wrapping the memory seat panel. That's next to wrap now!

How could you "forget" the "memory"?

Is it hard to wrap the parts?

Where can I get the 3M stuff?
No. The product is re-positionable and very easy to work with. I'd suggest starting with the little piece of trim on the driver's side dash. That pops right out. Wrap that. Then maybe pop of the radio bezel and wrap that. Then you can start attacking the parts you can't remove, like the trim on the doors. It just takes patience. The more meticulous you are, the better it will turn out. Get a few cheap plastic putty knives, a sharp razor, and a hair dryer, and you've got all the tools you need to do the job.

Just google 3M Di-Noc...it's readily available. I got mine from carbonfiberfilm.com

I'd also suggest getting on YouTube and doing some searches. You can see how easy it is to work with first hand.

I've done the same thing but in silver wire carbon fiber. Di-Noc is the best stuff to get. I just have to find the time to finish mine up.

Do they make it in anything other than carbon fiber? I was wanting to go with the brushed aluminum look. I don't think I'd like the carbon fiber with black interior.

I'm pretty sure they have other items too...but I know they have a ton of different carbon fiber colors as well. I know I saw a silvery/aluminum colored one on there when I was shopping. I even think they had camo...

I picked up some 3M Scotchprint brushed aluminum. It is basically the same thing as the 3M Di-Noc.

I've been doing mine in brushed titanium, just a little darker than aluminium. Have a look in the gauge thread, there's a couple of pics.

Looks real good man, I have some cf wrapping stuff like you guys are using now when I get bored I can do some more. Yep patience is key. ALSO make sure everything is cleaned very very well. (acetone or denatured alcohol.)The better the prep the better the stuff will stick. Try taking a vinyl or a bondo spreader and wrap the "furry side of velecro" around the edge so it wont drag on the material. Works wonders!
