Just had my 2015 wk2 in for oil change and check A/C system and there's an empty bolt hole on the driver's side just in front of the oil fill. Judging by the pristine threads and the black goop all around it, someone just recently removed whatever was there.

Can anyone tell me what is supposed to be in this hole? Just a bolt? Sensor?

There could be empty threaded and non-threaded holes all over the place either for accessories not installed or carry overs from an earlier trim that was currently re-designed.
