My Jeep is having trouble starting. For 3 days now the remote start will not work. When I get in and use the push button most times it just clicks. Starts every 3rd or 4th try. Going to dealer in the morning. I took a video with my phone but can't figure out how to post it.

Sounds like the starter is intermittently locking up, definitely not common on the 4th gen grands

We recently had a 2015 Challenger Hellkitten in multiple time for a intermittent "no start" and the starter would just click but it would only do it sometimes, the tech working on it ended up finding a loose ground that was causing the issue.

That's always the case after the dealership goes to inspect an issue. On my WJ it had intermittent starts and especially after being driven. Once you turned it off after the initial first drive of the day, it wouldn't start again. I changed the starter and almost a pcm. Dealership had no clue, until I mentioned the neutral safety switch. They said it was internal and they needed to diagnose it. It ended up being that in the end. I was in a paranoid state for months before finding out the issue.
Whenever I took it to the dealership, it would start for them every single time and no codes! :(
I hope you get her back soon.

If your jeep cannot start with the key fob or by pressing the start stop button beside the steering wheel, you should be able to pull that manual key out of the key fob, pop out the red start stop button beside the steering wheel and start the jeep, same thing if your battery is dying on your remote key fob,and you cannot open the door automatic by touching the handle, remove the key from the key fob to put into the silver key hole on the door to open the door, pop out the start stop red button put the key fob in and start the jeep.

I think not on a '15, the cap doesn't come off.

from the owner's manual:
NOTE: In case the ignition switch does not change with
the push of a button, the RKE transmitter (Key Fob) may
have a low or dead battery. In this situation, a back up
method can be used to operate the ignition switch. Put
the nose side (side opposite of the emergency key) of the
Key Fob against the ENGINE START/STOP button and
push to operate the ignition switch.

Yes you are right the new jeep I think you press the key fob against that red start stop button while your foot is on the brake and that should start the vehicle, I saw it on YouTube, If your key fob is dead with a dead battery and you cannot open the door I think there is a manual key inside the key fob to remove to put inside the key hole on the door to open the door to get inside the vehicle.

There was no need to have some truck towing your jeep with this problem, a lot of people don't read the manual that come with the vehicle or most device, so many issues could get solve. If you find the manual is not sufficient go on the internet especially YouTube .

I could see some folks seeing this Jeep SRT being towed and saying Chrysler JUNK not knowing that there was a temporary fix for the owner to start the jeep, but the owner lacks the knowledge so another punch in the gut to Chrysler.

Read the manual?! Lol. I didn't get a hard copy and the disc won't play. I'm not calling my Jeep junk. ( I know you aren't saying I did) It's my 2nd one. Just sharing my situation, hoping someone can help out or it can help out someone.

There should be a hard copy of the owners manual in the top of the glovebox, it's hard to notice if you don't look there.

Update. Problem solved.

After a week at the dealer it was narrowed down to a bad crimp on a lug somewhere that was causing a short. New starter and update pcm. Back in biznezz!

I am having the same issue, changed the fob batteries and the huge battery under the passenger seat. Still won't start in the most inconvenient times, seriously pissing me off!! Any solutions to this for others?
