Hi guys/gals,

New to the forum, hoping to tap into the knowledge here for my ZJ. Last week, my daughter was driving the ZJ and was rear-ended at a red light. She’s ok, some whiplash and concussion injuries, but upset about the damage to the ZJ - lots of sentimental value, it brought her home from the hospital when she was born, and what she learned to drive in during high school. So, we made the decision to repair it, and use it as an off-road/overlanding vehicle. However, the rear frame rails are bent near where the shocks attach, and I am trying to find new ones. Side note- if anyone got the recall fix for the gas tank where they put on a heavy duty hitch, it worked like a champ and protected the gas tank. The part numbers for the rear frame rails are 5166080AA and 5166081AA. Apologies for the somewhat rambling post, coffee hasn’t kicked in yet.

What were the results with your repair? I'm in the process of doing the same with mine and was curious to know the results!
