I don't have the dealer prep my vehicles, so it gets the full "treatment" as soon as I get it home. A good wax(4-6wks protection) or sealer like Blackfire Wet Diamond(3-5 months pending weather). It's easy to use, great looks and good protection. I also have used on various vehicles Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid Sealer($50), and Esoteric Signature Wax($125 and made the jeep look like nothing I've ever used before, and held up all Ohio winter, then stripped it off and did 22PLE), these are wax/sealer combo's and do very well, offering a couple months of protection...but I'm super anal and re-apply after a couple weeks even if it's not needed.
Or look at doing a glass coating like 22PLE or Gtechniq Exo V2...I have 22PLE on my black grand and Gtechniq on my charger. Just as easy as a wax or sealer(or easier) and you get up to 2 years protection, but also helps prevent light scratching, etching from bird crap, etc...youtube them, it's very impressive stuff. Anything worth a crap is gonna be a little pricey, but look at how much your jeep costs and what's it worth to protect it.
Gtechniq is $70 for a 50ml bottle(little goes a long long way), and you can do the plastic trim, wheels, chrome and paint with 2 coats(and any left over I did under the hood, door edges, etc) and your're good to go, just wash it, and I did their glass coating too for glass, also up to 2 years. It works so well, I can't hardly get soap to stick from the foam gun when I wash it. I'm going to try the Detailers Paint Coating(same idea as others on Autogeek.net) on my sisters vehicle. Nothing at the auto parts store is worth a crap unless you are just getting some chrome polish or glass cleaner. Look at detailedimage.com and autogeek.net. Prep will be key(proper wash, clay, polish if needed, alchohol wipe, then protection along with proper towels) to getting the results you want. This sounds way too complicated for me and I doing think any detail shops here will do that!!
Same here. My Zaino polish and sealer last a good year though.
Do it yourself, its easy. I don't even use a buffer/polisher, I do it all by hand. Always have, always will. I do other peoples cars too and they are always satisfied.
Just wash with Dawn soap first and then use these Zaino products...........

Congrats on the new ride!
For a new vehicle, at a minimum, I'd suggest claying the surface to decontaminate the paint and apply either a sealant or wax to protect the finish from the elements.
There are many more options above and beyond those, but those are the simplest and most effective processes for a new vehicle.

Those were a couple options...i was hesitant at first, but for an everyday car, I will probably only do glass coatings, it was as easy or easier than waxing...once prepped. As Adams said, every new car at a minimum should have a good clay, and to help the wax or sealer bond correctly, you should do an IPA wipe to remove the lube used for the clay. Some cars need a little polishing even when new to have swirl free paint, some people don't care..."meh, its a car, gets me from point A to B". I still like wax and sealers, and all give a different look and protection. I'm guessing if you looked at Zaino's website, it would suggest paint decontamination prior for "best results". Gtechniq Exo V2 is nice because it does paint, trim, wheels, chrome with one product, and helps reduce scratching, bird crap etching(i've seen it eat through clear coat and paint to bare metal), and makes it easier to keep clean. Just my opinion is all. Some guys are happy with putting wax on their vehicle once and a while and calling it good, I like mine to stand out and look better than everyone else around.
Gtechniq C2V3($30 500ml) is similiar to the Zaino CS, no cure times or anything, use it on everything, but simply requires some wiping with a microfiber, but can be used under or over any wax or sealant. I've been using it on my daily driven truck that is outside 24/7, sees lots of miles offroad, steel mills, rail yards, etc and has proven to work well and hold up for a spray and wipe. A little goes a long way, once a full strength coat is put on, dilute 50/50 with water, and used as a QD and it lasts longer. I may try the Zaino CS, always looking for more tools in the arsenal, I don't care who makes it, I just like tiny little water beads on the cars.

I personally think their products suck....I bought their waterless carwash and all it was was scented water...when I called up they promised me refunds, towels and a free bottle of something else...all I got was a bottle of wax....customer service is horrible

Some of their stuff is kind of redundant (how many soaps do you really need?) but some stuff is incredible. I am a big Black Light fan

Its not a wax so don't expect much protection. Many use V7 or a wax on top after the "cure" time

Did this person who told you this also tell you exactly how wax protects against nothing including swirl marks. Put a coat of Opti Coat on it, and wash it with real soap,and not something you wash you hair with.Save yourself a lot of torment and money now before you get sucked down the never ending search for the perfect finish.
