My wife and I have recently purchased a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4. In the last few weeks we have been having a major issue. bout 15 or 20 times when we try to start the vehicle the car will not start and shows a very brief message of TRANSMISSION OVER TEMP! This happens after a short trip and when the car has been sitting over night. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!:mad:

Without knowing your specific WK motor, there's not a lot I can recommend. However, faulty DTC Codes have known to have been caused by low batteries because the WK is quite sensitive to voltages. After checking that, a little bit of searching on these boards will yield that it's not uncommon to have these codes brought up by a faulty TCM/ECM/PCM depending on which motor you have. I believe the 5.7L has an integrated TCM/PCM called the ECM and the 3.7L has separate units for each. Not sure about the 4.8L...
