I figured I would post in this side of the forum now since my Compass will be delivered hopefully Tuesday night. I'm trading in a POS 2005 Chevy Equinox with less than 100,000 miles that has had a lot of work done on it lol.

Blown head gaskets
Blown upper & lower manifold gaskets
water pump replaced
Shocks replaced 3 times
Wheel bearings 3 on left side 1 on right
EVAP canister replaced
wiring harness on left side replaced 2 times
brake hoses, calipers replaced
and regular maintance to boot.
Let's hope my Compass has a lot less issues.

My wife owns a 2014 Patriot Latitude 6spd and I own a 2014 Patriot Latitude FDII CVT. I prefer the CVT any day of the week. It is an outstanding transmission so far, especially off road and in the snow. I have read a great deal of positive and negative comments on forums about the CVT, but my direct comparison makes me best equipped to fully know what I prefer more and why. As long as you familiarize yourself with the CVT and its differences from auto transmissions, you should have no problems whatsoever. Good luck.
