But not new to Jeeps. My first Jeep was a 1985 Cherokee and next was a '93 ZJ. After years of fun, wheelin' and great trips, it was just gettin' worn out so I had to say good bye to my friend. I miss it. My current Jeep is an '05 WK Laredo with the 4.7. Very nice truck but not as good off road as the lifted ZJ. I guess that's to be expected. I have made a few changes though. 255/65/17 General Graber2 tires made a huge difference. I also have a 1947 Willys that I rebuilt with a frame off resto-mod. Hoping to have fun here and learn stuff. Thanks!
Jim.
Yes it does help a lot. Noise is hardly there even at highway speeds, yet still get good air flow. Only full open though, on vent the noise is about the same.
Just to introduce myself, I am Mihai from Pitesti, Romania. I own a 2006 GC 3.0 CRD.
I have a set of 265/70/17 Cooper Discoverer STT.
I am here because I want to see what other mods other people did on this car for better offroad.
Cheers!
Hello from The Northern Sierra. I’m new and a Jeep lover. I got my first taste of a
Jeep back in 1956 in my dads 56 Willys Shell station pick up. I used to roll under it on the creeper. I joined this forum to share info. Please feel free to pick my brain as I will do the same.
Recently picked up a Grand Cherokee Laredo for a project, looking forward to info, brainstorming and experience you guys have. I do all my own work too.
2001 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L and the dreaded 42RE transmission issues.
