Picked up a black High Altitude the day after Christmas. This is my first Jeep and I am so far very happy with it. Just over 2 months and about to hit 4,000 miles. I almost took the plunge on a Sterling Edition and what really kept me from that was the lack of ventilated seats. What I liked about the Sterling Edition was the lack of all that chrome, dual exhaust, and the price wasn’t bad either. Can say I’m thoroughly surprised with how well I like the 3.6 with the eco turned off. Would’ve loved to have the Hemi but wanted the less thirsty engine.

I’ve tried posting without success. I’ve been a member for a while but have been lurking and not posting so maybe I need a certain amount of posts first......

Noticed a rattle on a cold start up today. Is that normal for this engine?
Hello WantingJGC,

If you want to get this inspected by a Jeep dealer, let us know via DM. We can help get the appointment set up and escalated to a Case Specialist for further handling.

Congrats on the new Jeep. That's how I ride my trailhawk with the eco off and am very satisifed with it's performance. You always have the paddles and the sport if you need even more.

One thing I must admit that I don't love is the start/stop and I pretty much turn it off when I get in the car, other than that very happy with it.

Gave her a wash today for our 4 month Jeepiversary and noticed what I’m assuming is rail dust. Gonna have to claybar asap. That’s how you get rid of it, right? Unfortunately no time for that today.

Taking it in for its first oil change this weekend and they don’t do appointments. So then I ask if I need an appointment to get the fender flare that’s coming up at the edge fixed and the lady has no idea. Tells me to bring it in for the oil change and they’ll see what they need to do to fix it. Do you guys with experience on this issue think they’ll be able to do it on the spot or not? I’m mainly concerned because I’m going out of my way to drive to the dealer I purchased from and want it all done at once instead of it turning into a hassle. Another question I have is what are you guys using to detail the interior as in the leather seats and dash? Looking for a non greasy factory look and if it’s something I can wipe everything down with even better. I’ve always used Lexol in the past but if there’s a better option I’d appreciate the input.

I wish I hadn’t of said anything about the fender flare coming up at this point. They put a piece of tape behind the front corner where it wasn’t flush. Not only did it not actually stick to the car but it’s an eyesore and I didn’t have time to argue with them about fixing it properly.
