No light on the shift changer console. Was there one or not. If there was, what do I do to get it to work. Is there a bulb. I took to a repair place and the looked my Jeep up by VIN and some said it didn't have a shift changer console light and the other half said the Liberty did. I don't want to pay $200 for them to tear apart my shift changer console to replace a bulb that was never there. Can anyone help me out?

I don't think there is one. I know it has a red color tab that moves as you shift but that's not the light, that's just the color. If that is what you're talking about maybe it fell out of place. I looked on ebay to see how it looks taken apart and i dont see any light connection. i'm might be wrong but here check it out yourself, maybe it will help a bit.
