Welcome! Fellow Tucsonan here too and my first WK2. Just got front windshield and front windows tinted for our daily 108F temps :lol:. Hope you have as much fun with your car as I have had with mine so far.

Alva: I went with Affordable Window Tinting on Grant Rd (see their website). Great prices, awesome staff and very accomodating. They have done several cars for my coworkers and everyone has raved about them.

I went with 3Ms Crystalline product on front windshield (70%), the front driver/passenger windows as well as the sunroof. It's essentially "optically clear" but blocks out all that UV and infrared lights and keeps the car "cooler". It's pricier but 3Ms Crystalline product is the best out there IMHO. I paid $150 windshield, $50 each per door and sunroof. Best prices in town...and meticulous work with a lifetime warrantee...can't beat that!

Sounds like a hell of a deal. I was also considering the 3Ms Crystalline for the front windows. Called this local shop in Tucson and they gave me a ridicules quote for the front windshield and two side windows.
