As you folks can see from the title I am in the market for wheels for my WK and I have been considering a set of the 20"s that come on the WK2. Has anyone done this yet? Anyone have any thoughts? The bolt pattern is the same and the offset is 56.4 so it should set the wheel in pretty close to the same point as my factory wheel.

I'm just looking for some opinions or concerns.

Thanks!

Well the two issues I see is will it clear the brake caliper? and then will it clear the steering knuckle with tire mounted? What is the width on those wheels?

The SRT replica's use an offset of 35 for a 20x9 wheel.

Yeah you are absolutely right. According to the wheel manufacturer they will rub in the rear with a tire mounted. Good thing I called before I purchased. I have decided to go with the Viper replicas instead. You could make the Overland's work but you would have to do a spacer.

Thank you for the reply though!

I sure will! I'm just waiting on an insurance check. My 05 GC got hit with $7,000 hail damage and totaled. So now as soon as the insurance check gets here I pick up my 06 and will order the wheels.

Yeah I will have to download them. They were averaging ping pong ball size. Some were golf ball sized. In the estimate they wanted to replace the passenger front fender, hood, and put a new roof skin on it. I wasn't too thrilled with that idea!

That shows some of the damage. The hood is easy to see but the other pix don't do the damage justice!

Then you can see what I replaced it with. The new truck is a 2006 5.7 limited. I call it my stormtrooper!

It worked out in my favor. Insurance gave me $11900 for the old jeep so I was able to get the WK that I wanted in the first place. The only downside was having to strip the $6000 worth of a/v equipment out of the old one and now reinstall into the new one!

If anyone is looking for a tan nav bezel I have one for sale! I have to order a gray one now.

I just put OEM 20's on my 2009 WK and they fit fine. I had to put spacers on the front tires because they did rub but they look great and ride really smooth. I'm pleased! It can definitely be done.

Yes. The damage amounted to close to 70% of the value of the Jeep so they totalled it out. The pix that I took really don't do it justice. The hail actually dented it deep enough that it cracked the paint in spots.
