Hello all,

I just purchased a new 2014 Limited with 5.7 yesterday.
Took delivery late in the day & had some home things that needed doing, so have only driven 15 miles so far.
Looking forward to reading & writing to this forum more in the near future.

(Edit, just realized I posted in the wrong forum. Newbie mistake)

No excuses!!!!!!
Home things can wait! You need to drive that V8 machine. I would expect several hundred miles on it before you post again.
Wrong forum? We are all Jeeps.
Go out and enjoy yours................................

Good grief Texas Trail Hawk. Are you the one lost on a rail siding in Illinois?
You had the same D1 as I did.
That's me;) Hopefully, not lost. I have been getting updates on MOTS and the TH is moving. Last update was IL. Dealer actually called today (2nd time since order) to tell me it is on a train and they expect it between the 1st and the 6th. I've been waiting this long, a little longer won't hurt me.

Hang in there, Okiehawk! Your order was placed a few days after mine and I don't have mine either. The not knowing is the hard part. Hopefully, we'll both have ours within 10-14 days. Then this will all be a memory.

I really have learned a lot about my level of patience or lack there of. I started test driving vehicles in early September, because my lease was up Oct. 1. I didn't realize at the time that the Cherokees weren't even out yet, but I had wanted to test drive one. I drove a lot of vehicles and was ready to make a decision, but the Cherokee still wasn't available. I kept waiting for them to be delivered, so I could drive one before I made my decision. That wasn't able to happen until the first week of November, because dealers didn't have them yet. Luckily I have another vehicle to drive in the interim. I finally drove a Limited, but felt sure I would want the TH. There wasn't one for me to see, but I went ahead and ordered one, then got to drive one a week or so later. Thank goodness I really liked it! So more waiting...its been 7 weeks since I placed my order and nearly 3 months since I've had "my" vehicle. It has been an interesting odyssey, and it is not over yet. Maybe we should get t-shirts that say, "I survived ordering a 2014 Jeep Cherokee!" That's a bit dramatic, but sometimes feels appropriate.

Texas TH, Seeing "Saving Mr. Banks" made it all better for a while!

My problem with the process which I'm sure you have seen on MOTS. Is Cherokees that come off the line and move within days through inspection to shipment. While others come off, get sent to odd ball lots and sit for weeks with no updates.

Congrats on yours finally being on it's way! I think something better than a T-shirt should be in order.
