Hello all, first I'd like to thank the forum, when researching my new purchase I spent a lot of time going through the threads here. I just spent my first weekend with my new Cherokee and I am really loving being a Jeep guy.

*my example* So, in my Ford, when playing music from my USB thumb drive set to shuffle, I could tell Sync to play a particular song it would play that song then continue shuffling through the rest of the drive. In my Jeep, when I tell uconnect to play one particular song, it essentially locks down on that song. I can deal with that, but haven't found the right command to get out of that. In the Ford I could press the Sync button and say "all songs" this would pull me out of a particular album, artist, or genre, and return me back to the entire drive.

Does anyone know a command for uconnect that will play all songs? For now, I've just pressed the "browse" button, then pressed "songs" then I just pick one in the list and re-enable shuffle.

Thank you for the reply. I just went out and tried "play songs" but the radio thinks I'm saying "play song xxxx". If you browse the directory at the top of the list it does give an "all songs" option, but only to press. If I say "All Songs" to the VR, it tunes to XM Alt nation.

Interested in this too. Also tried play all songs and that didnt work for me.
Strange, I just went out to specifically to check this. I was showing 1100+ songs and was set to play "genre country".

I then said "play all songs". I got a voice response that said "browsing all songs" and the number jumped to 1800+, plus the songs were listed. I then said "Shuffle" and the screen change showing the album art from some classical music, the 1800+ number, and "Shuffle" highlighted.

Did you say "play all songs", or just "all songs"?

BTW - I'm using an SD card, though it should be the same as USB.

Since the audio response I got was "browse all songs" and the screen changed to listing all songs, if "play all songs" doesn't work, try "browse all songs".

Browse all songs does get you to the song list, which is one step in the right direction. I still need to pick a random song on the screen and re-select shuffle either with VR or just pressing "shuffle" on the screen. I'll get used to this, but hate it's so many steps.

thanks for help.

Hello all, I wanted to post an update on what I've done to make thing transition a little better for me.

I have all my music in itunes, which has already been cleaned up (album, artist, album art, etc). I didn't like doing this, but I've changed every song in my library to a genre I created called "Everything". I rarely sorted by genre anyway. So once everything was cataloged by uconnect. I can use voice to play a particular song, once that's done, I can hit the voice button and say "Play genre everything" and this brings me back to my entire library. I still have to press the shuffle button every time I get in the car, but I can deal with that.

An alternative to this would be to create a playlist in itunes and add every song to it. That is assuming some folks have access to playlist when they move their files. I did in my Ford, but don't now.
