If I've heard correctly, a redesigned Wrangler is due in '15 or '16.

I'm very curious and interested in any rumors about what will change.

Here is my top wish: Available with the CRD and 8 speed auto.

New to this forum, but I've been following the 2016 Wrangler closely for the last 6 months or so and these are two of the best resources I know of:

Hooligan Off-Road | Off-Road Industry News: Jeep Hints at IFS and Diesel for 2016

Basically, you're looking at a near-definite diesel for 2016 (probably the Grand Cherokee motor), probably a truck variant type, if not only in limited edition form and the slight possibility of IFS. Oh and of course, new paint schemes (probably brighter, more vibrant colors based on what Jeep execs have said, most recently at the Easter Jeep Safari).

It would be outstanding to get the same CRD motor as the MY14 JGC. Hopefully with the matching 8 speed transmission.

Thanks for the info!

Good lord please no IFS on the wrangler. Now the diesel option would be awesome! Last wrangler I had was on 35" mudders....and although the 4.0 had torque it was still lacking. C'mon jeep give us a monster diesel option in the wrangler.

Would love a diesel option, but not real keen on an 8 speed. I always buy a standard transmission Wrangler, and that would just be too much work.

- Take it back to the 97-06 length and width...
- Hemi option...
- HP Dana 60, gearing, and locker options...
- Triangulated rearend.
- Radius arms for the front.
- Coilovers & airbump stops.
Why in the hell would you want it that narrow??? I have a sock 04 rubicon, and a 07 4dr on 41.5s. The 07 is waaaay more stable on curvy roads. Narrow sucks

I'm willing to die to protect my 2nd amendment rights, are you willing to die trying to take them away?

The "redesign" is coming out late 2nd Quarter in 2017 as a 2018MY.

The 2016 AND 2017 will still be JK's.

The pickup article...from 2013... starts off with a quote that a pickup option "is the next generation"... that's the new Aluminum version. The article speculated the next generation would be in 2016 but those will be JKs. The next generation is slated to begin production in 2017 as a 2018 based on the latest I read.
