About a month ago a noise developed and it is from the sunroof. It seems there were others with this issue but I can't find the wright up on it.
Thanks.

There are a bunch of clips that snap the headliner to the roof all around the sunroof opening. Just push along the edge of the sunroof opening and you should hear them snap into place. I did this with my pano roof and there were about 9 of the 14 snaps not fully snapped in. Took care of the noise. I know Milous had posted a how to somewhere about this.

Not saying that is the problem but doesn't hurt to check, lol.

Ok I pushed up where the noise seemed to be coming from and I did hear a click and it seem better for a few miles but now it is just as bad. I looked between the head liner and the sunroof and could not see any type of a clip. Are you able to see them?
Thanks!

If you sign a flashlight you can see them. Search Milous posts I know he posted a diagram where all the clips are. You probably have more than one not clipped in.

I haven't had a chance to look in there with a flashlight yet. I'll do that this weekend and report back.
Thanks

It is kind of a popping snapping sound. It is coming from the driver side just behind the drivers door up inside the sunroof. The white plastic clips seem to be secure with just a tiny bit of play. But the sound seems more metallic like maybe a loose pop rivet or something.

I had the same noise - worse over uneven road surfaces - and when the sunroof. Milous posted a creaks, buzz TSB which gives a hint as to what may be going on.

http://www.jeepgarage.org/f97/annoying-squeak-49860.html

I was able to isolate my noise to the front most torx screw holding the fixed glass bracket in place - try pushing on the glass where you think the noise us and try and replicate the noise - the screw in my case was not loose but not really tight - I tightened it and the noise improved - for a while - I didnt lok tite it so suspect it has loosened again recently. I could not see any obvious missalignment in glass as described in the TSB but have asked dealer to review whilst in for its service / repairs. Fingers crossed they have sorted this out (unlike the other "issues" (deformed bumper bar and detatching wheel arch mouldings) they have failed to address yet despite having waited for 3 months to get warranty approval and parts and now having had the car for 10 days - grrrrrrrrr

Dang how frustrating. I did fallow your link and got the diagram on adjusting the sunroof but first I think I will look for a loose screw. If that don't work I can fix almost anything with a sledge hammer and cutting torch :) j/k
Thanks!

I have had the pano sunroof "creak" since delivery in April 2012. I was able to temporarily silence the noise by wedging pieces of felt (used as gliders on furniture legs) between the fixed pano glass and the side rail. The problem with this is that you cannot open the pano sunroof without knocking out the pieces of felt.

On March 22, 2013 a TSB (number 23-013-13) was issued for vehicles built prior to Noverber, 2012. The new part is the sunroof frame (part no. 68081053AC). I called the dealer, who had replicated the creak, and made the appointment for the fix. Without going into all detail, I left the car with the dealer on Wednesday of last week. Dealer called and said the car was ready the following Saturday. We drove 35 miles, they pulled the car out and we found grease all over the headliner. Also, the pano roof would go to the vent position automatically ie. you could not fully close the pano roof. We left the car and drove 35 miles back home.

Finally, we got a call from the dealer yesterday, April 10. The car was immaculate when we picked it up and everything works and the "creak" noise is completely gone.

Thanks for this info. I have not checked for a loose screw yet but I probably will be going through the dealer for this fix. It's just a hassle getting it there and all even though it is just 3 miles from my house.
Thanks again for this info!
