They are the same bulbs. Silverstar packaging is for the US. CBI is the name overseas. Are these two links the same Osram D1S Bulb referenced in this thread in different packaging??
Amazon.com: Sylvania D1S SilverStar High Intensity Discharge (HID) Bulb, (Pack of 1): Automotive This bulb claims to have a color temp. of 5000K and a manufacturer part # of HIDD1S and appears to be the same packaging as the picture linked to by DirtyDuc83 in post #2 of this thread.
OSRAM - Cool Blue Intense Xenarc D1S (Single) : Amazon.com : Automotive This bulb claims to have a color temp. of 5500K and a manufacturer part # of 66144CBI which is what I think the OP was posting about to begin with.![]()
X2! Agreed on all three points.11 months on these bulbs and still loving them.
For all of you contemplating buying them and trying to mull over the specs.
There is definitely a difference the light is whiter and they are also brighter.
You will not be disappointed if you have never experienced this type of out put before.
Its hard for me to drive any vehicle with halogen headlights now. I feels like I am driving with only the park lights.
sidenote:
I will also say this the J W speaker fog lights are pretty damn close to the output of these bulbs to.
The JW speaker 6145 LED foglights are better than alot of headlights out there. If anyone with a 2011-2013 WK2 wants to upgrade there lighting if they don't want to spring for the bixenon headlight swap the JW swap is a must do!!!!!
Do you have a coupon code for these bulbs?Happy to say that we now carry Osram CBI (Cool Blue Intense) HID bulbs in D2S, D1S, D3S, and D4S.
