I'd like to color-match the chrome grille to the Dark Charcoal and wanted some feedback before I buy a whole new painted grille.
I've talked to 3 body shops and all were very hesitant about the results and durability with trying to paint the chrome grille. They all advised me to get any painted grille (altitude/trailhawk) and they can repaint it for the best results.
Before I pull the trigger on a new colored grill to repaint, is there a general consensus on avoiding painting over the chrome grille? The grey trailhawk grille is only about $210 and then i'd have to get it color matched.
