First post here guys, so be easy on me for any stupid things I may say!
2013 Trailhawk, white HEMI ;)
Got a pretty good deal on it and we needed a larger then our small SUV now that we have a child. For you guys that have children, how do you keep the leather from creasing where the car seat sits? My king ranch truck was getting pretty bad of it creating bad wrinkles. We have one of those huge Britax seats that are like tanks in the back seat!
Also, how hard is changing the oil? The stealership wants to charge an extra $11 a month to have it changed on location but not have to pay when it gets serviced.

I can only comment on the oil change part... That is a compete ripoff, have them throw it in or don't get it. That is over $30 for an oil change and that is doing it every 3k or 3 months... More than likely they will want you to do it twice a year which means yo are at almost 70 per oil change, they better be putting in synthetic for that price!

Yeah complete ripoff re servicing. I got first one free and ever since have had it changed every 5k miles and have never paid more than $20 for oil/filter changed and tires rotated. Mopar always has a good coupon available for that on its service website. Check it out...

Thanks for the responses guys! I'll look into that seat cover. And another kicker to the oil changes, it has to be done at that dealership. Well I'm in the military and looking at moving before December. So I'll be paying for like 2-3 oil changes if I do the recommended 3k or 3 months. I'm just not going to do it. I was just wondering if changing your own oil was a PITA like my VW was back when I was in high school.

ok, might sound stupid, but is there only supposed to be 1 trail rated badge on the drivers fender or is there supposed to be one on the passengers fender as well?

I was just wondering if changing your own oil was a PITA like my VW was back when I was in high school.

The oil changes on these aren't bad at all. The V6 is easier because it has the cartridge filter but I have a HEMI as well and have done ALL my own oil changes (3...4 after tomorrow) mainly because I don't trust the dealerships around here to not mess something up.

The filter isn't too bad to get at just a bit of a twist when reaching up underneath to get the old one off and the new one on. If you decide to do your own changes ensure your gasket comes off with the factory filter, these tend to be overtightened and sometime the gasket will stick to the block and then cause a leak if you don't notice and screw the new one over it. Other than that it is very straigh-forward.

Good luck with your new ride!

I shouldn't have looked at that trailhawk yesterday. I so don't need it. I mean, I barely *need* a Jeep at all, but I definitely don't need the trailhawk version of it. But I can't get it out of my head. It was incredible.

I know what you mean! I was in the same position. But it is awesome! the interior and QL is what sold me on it.
