I suggested someone start a Collective Thread where we could post articles or links to Accessories for the new 2014 Durango -- so I guess I'm it.

Let's see what neat ideas we accumulate...

I'll start by borrowing suggestions I've seen. :)

Billet Oil Caps:
Posted by: Gtaz19 -- http://www.jeepgarage.org/f177/a-little-engine-bay-love-detailing-68301.html
Search Online for (specifically for R/T): DODGE CHALLENGER CHARGER RT R/T BILLET GUNMETAL OIL CAP
Last Seen on eBay: Dodge Challenger Charger RT R T Billet Gunmetal Oil Cap | eBay
Note: I may be able to supply Citadel and other Trim-Name overlays to fit these in Stainless Steel from a source I have. I will need to get pricing and create the designs. They would be Etched and Filled, or left un-Filled.

Engine Cover Decals:

Search Online for: Dodge Durango 5.7L V8 Engine Cover Decals Stripes 2011 2012 2013 2014
Last seen on eBay: Dodge Durango 5 7L V8 Engine Cover Decals Stripes 2011 2012 2013 2014 | eBay

Door Sills:

Search Online for: Dodge Durango Door Sill Entry Guards
Last Seen on eBay: 2011 2012 2013 2014 Dodge Durango Door Sill Entry Guards Scuff Plates Mopar New | eBay

Badges:
Easy to find Online or eBay -- just search for "HEMI badge Dodge".

Running Boards:
Looking for Illuminated Running Boards... anyone?

Good post! This should help some of us.

Here's another...
The dealer-supplied Window Rain Deflectors and Bug Deflectors often have those ugly rivets that eventually rust. Those made by Auto Ventshades and sold on Amazon do not.

Bug Deflector:
Amazon.com: Auto Ventshade 322038 Aeroskin Large Acrylic Hood Shield: Automotive

Window Rain Deflectors for 2013:
Amazon.com: Auto Ventshade 94267 Original Ventvisor, 4 Piece: Automotive

NOTE: They may not have the 2014 items posted, yet -- so be sure to confirm the fit.

A lot of items I saw were cheaper on ebay. After you include shipping on the site, its not that good a deal. the door sills for one are about 4 or 5 dollars less and they are on ebay year round at that price. I checked a few other items and they were also cheaper on ebay. There are some items not available on ebay though so check before you buy.

Yes, I'm finding a similar result. But the bigger question for me is "How do we know what really fits the 2014 Durango?" For example, does Part Number 82212021AB -- Splash Guards -- really look like this, as shown at Official Mopare Parts Website -- and do they fit the 2014?

I like this look, with the DODGE letters. But when I search elsewhere, I get all kinds of different photos. The cheapest I found them is here, for a bit over $30 a set:
Deluxe Molded Splash Guards. DODGE WD75 (2001 - 2013) # 82212021AB, 82212021

But I did not add in Shipping.

Ordered this cargo area mat from CARiD.com Not particularly weather proof, but I like the look if one solid cargo floor area (we only use the third row seats occasionally so its no big deal to roll back). The mat is a really nice quality.

Had to have a me a little mopar. The logo stitching quality and color came out great.

I put these chrome handle covers on a Santa Fe 6 years ago and they are still solid as the first day I put them on, so I took a shot on the Durango. I think they look great. I picked them up on ebay...wound up getting shipped from China (seller was corseautosports). If anyone has any interest in adding these, I would suggest only putting them on if they have the 3M automotive adhesive tape. Both these and the ones I applied years ago did.

Do these hold up well against scratches?

They have...and the finish has remained consistantly shiny. There are some small scratches on them buy you can only really see it if you get within 6 inches or so. Here is a pic of one of the Santa Fe handle covers I applied in 2008. I took the pic in my garage so it looks a bit darker but its the lighting.

Ski rack!

It's about that time of year in the NJ area, where we wax up our skis so we can "skate" on "packed powder" (read: ICE) that is typical of the NJ area.

The factory Durango side rails are solid, so any carrier that you may want needs to be mounted to the cross rails.

Anyway, I considered the "Mopar" ski rack, which is a Thule 91725. I've heard good things about the carrier, but found out there is newer model that has an extra "pull out" feature, the Thule 92726.

I purchased the 92726, and did a test install and I like it. Appears to be high quality, there are separate locks to keep the skis in the carrier, and locks to keep the carrier on the rails.

With the D's roofline being as high as it is (and myself being slightly vertically challenged), I figured the slide out feature is worth it.
