Does anyone make a powered side step for WK2? I can't seem to find anything online or in the forum.

Thanks,

I inquired with a few companies that make them for other vehicles and I couldn't find anybody even planning on making them. If someone would make them, I'd buy 'em. I was secretly hoping the '14s would have them so we could retrofit them to the 11-13s.

I don't think so... I would imagine it would be hard to put in anyway? You mean power retractable right?

Only companies that I know of that make power steps are Amp and Bestop, which are identical design, but I don't see anything for the JGC. I honestly didn't think the GC was tall enough to need steps, but I guess with kids or elderly it makes sense.

I have the Bestop PowerBoards on my Ram and love them, but my Ram is A LOT taller than the Jeep. They aren't too bad to install either, they come with a pretty detailed installation manual.

Google is your best friend....

AGT4x4 Manufacturer - AGT4X4 - AGT4X4

You will have to contact them.

I have to admit that they would be handy for some of my shorter friends and parents (I'm 6'3" and my wife is 5'10").

If you are going to inquire...
Point out that you would have to buy them PLUS pay import taxes and shipping to get them to the USA.
Get a price and then see if they would give a discount for group purchase and put out the word with the price and maybe there would be enough people here on the forums interested to make it worthwhile.

One key thing from my point of view...
Being able to 'fix' them with parts from American manufacturers, because I can guarantee they will break down the road. My friend had an Expedition with these and had to have both replaced under warranty (less than 3 years).

EDIT: I sent them an inquiry (via their online form) about price (including shipping and import taxes) OR if they have a distributor in the USA.

My only concern is the quality of the product after all it's chinese so anything could go wrong unless they have some kind of warranty

LOL, I kinda thought about that.
But after looking at their web site, I'm being open minded.
I've seen Chinese web sites before and this is one of the best translated sites I've ever seen. They took the time to properly translate their English site, so I'm willing to give them a chance if the price is right.

If these aren't total junk, my wife would LOVE to see me get them. She is too impatient to wait for the QL to drop to entry/exit, and even then she says it is higher than my '07 WK..

I would expect about $1,000. That's about what full size truck power boards are running. I don't know how much shipping would be, but I'd be interested.

Gotta admit it, this looks intriguing but it also looks like one of those things I'd let some other (braver) people get to see how the fitment and such was.

I am also intrigued. Considering what Mopar wants for the standard, non-moving boards (wants and gets is of course different), $1000 wouldn't be too bad if the install was easy...

They are wonderful for collecting mud, slush and Ice to the point of jamming the motor and mechanism! Tried to special order them on a Navigator several years ago and factory refused the order based on the fact I lived in snow country.

Definitely interested in the AGT 4x4 ones... but would sure like to see them in person, or member pics, before taken the plunge.

Any response from them Todd? Anyone find them distributed in the states anywhere or are they from China only still?

No response from them yet...
I check the email account I gave them daily.
