Mornin guys..

I've been banging my head against a wall trying to find a predator hand tuner or similar to work with our WH jeeps in Australia..seems that all of them whether locked or unlocked wont work on our vehicles. Can anyone tell me why? And anyone who has solved this or knows of another model which will?

Another thing..the tunes I've seen seem to centre round 91 or 93 octane..why is that? We run 98 octane fuel in ours here..just something I've wondered..

sorry i can't be much help in finding a tuner, but in the US we primarily use 87,89, and 91 octane. some places carry 92 and 93. anything else usually race gas. That might be another reason why there is no tuners for you there

Ah ok cheers man..we have 91 as base fuel then 95 premium and 98 premium..

As far as the fuel goes,the octane numbers are apples and oranges.US uses an average of RON and MON, AUS just uses RON.Roughly speaking 93 USA is equal to 98 in AUS.
Your best bet for a tuner is custom SCT tuning though you will need a wide band o2 data logger to do that as wellas the x2/x3 tuner.Be careful of the Superchips tuners like Flashpaq,they wont work either despite them making no mention of it anywhere.....don't ask me how Iknow this....

Haha thanks mate..I gather you were burnt? Is there a reason why our models wont accept them? ADR Emissions or some crap?
I had looked at sct tuners but no mention of any compatability with jeep hemi that I could find? I know the ford guys use them..
