Hi,
What paint would you use to paint this? It's 3" pvc pipe. I heard from 2 different mechanic that it wouldn't get hot enough to melt it. I have Krylon Industrial paint. Should I use that or high temp paint? And should I use primer? I sanded the pvc then used 190 proof alcohol to clean it up. And do you think it would last?

It might not get hot enough to melt but it will damn sure get hot enough to get brittle and chip over time. Then the next thing you know you have a blown engine from sucking in chips of PVC.

I found this on ebay. Looks like I'll buy this 1. I'll use my K&N filter on it.

should work as long as the surface is prepped well. Might as well clear it after it is painted
