Rain sensing Wiper issue???

Hi, This may have already been addressed on another thread however I did a search and could not come up with anything? So this is my issue, When I was looking at the options in setting I saw the Rain sensing wiper option, I tried to turn this off and my wipers turned on non stop on the highest speed??? :-( not sure if this a problem anyone else has noticed? Is there a fix for this problem. I keep my windshield coated with Rain x and only use wipers if rain is really heavy.
